This guide explains the procedure for creating an MP3 CD Project.
F.Y.I. You will either need a special MP3 player, WMA player, or NeroDigital Audio player to play a burned MP3, WMA, or NeroDigital Audio disc. Normal audio players without this special file support won't be able to play a MP3 CD, WMA CD, or NeroDigital CD
How to start an MP3 CD:
Click on Make MP3 CD in Nero StartSmart.

Click on Make WMA CD in Nero StartSmart.

Click on Make Nero Digital Audio CD in Nero StartSmart.

Click the Close button if all MP3 files have been added to the compilation.
(If you create a WMA CD project use WMA files; for a Nero Digital Audio project use Nero Digital Audio files):

Select the recorder you want to use
(2) Insert a Disc name
(3) Select the Writing speed
(4) Write Method
Select either 'Disc-at-once' or 'Track-at-once'.
Use 'Track-at-once' when burning a multisession disc, otherwise always use 'Disc-at-once'.
Disc-at-once: the entire CD/DVD is written in one go without deactivating the laser.
Track-at-once: every track is written individually, the laser is turned off after every track.
(5) Determine maximum speed
A speed test is performed before recording.
Nero will determine the safest maximum speed for burning your disc.
(6) Simulation
A simulation burn will be performed to check if the disc is ready.
No data is actually written on the disc.
(7) Write
Starts the actual physical burning process.
(8) Finalize disc
The disc will be closed after burning. No further data can be added to the disc later.
(9) Select the Number of copies
(10) Allow files to be added later
Creates a multisession disc.
Further data can be added to the disc later. The disc will not be finalized.
Refer to the Nero Express manual for further details about creating multisession discs.
F.Y.I. Multisessions discs might not be readable for some MP3 players !
(11) Verify data on disc after burning
Nero compares the burned files on the disc bit by bit with the original files on the hard drive.
Click the Burn button to start the burning process.
Nero will open the following window if it does not detect a blank CD-R or CD-RW medium in the recorder drive.

Follow the status of the burning process in this window:

Progress bar of the burning process.
The burning process has been completed successfully.
Click the OK button to continue.
